Saw your message in game, I responded but I guess it didn't go through.

I am not sure what my old DBID is, but there is my new one: 897466017026050

When I was dealing with support about when my monthly card cut out they gave me this info: my guess is that the third "dbid" *might* be my old one, but again not sure and they never told me. I think I would have remembered if my dbid had '666' in it, despite Charles' "proof" that I am the devil. Razz

Well, that is the first thing computer techs think of with any computer problem.  They shut it off and start it up again, or the old unplug it and replug it again and see what happens.  Easy solution for them, a pain in the rear for us as well as undoing all our hard work.

OK, Team. Here we go. 

Spock was removed from the Fleet, again, unsure why. I gave DB his new DBID in hopes they could trace ticket history back his old DBID. I haven't heard back from DB at this time since the action to remove Spock was taken.

So to sum it all up we have some options to consider.

Option 1 - DB can force kick all members of the fleet. They will reinvite me, make me the fleet leader and it is up to me to get everyone back in. Here is the catch, I think DB feels this is a 50/50 shot because they proposed Option 2 to me first before discussing this option with me.

Option 2 - Abandon this Fleet completely and I start a fresh fleet. This does NOT mean that we would have to contribute supplies again. DB would provide the supplies to get us to Level 35. CON: still a 700 donation limit, so it will take us a while to get back up there. CON: With DB's service the way it is, this option could go downhill and become more of a mess. PRO: 100 Chronitons a day guaranteed until we are back up to the proper level.

Option 3 - This was the very first option they proposed to me. I was not a fan of the plan, I felt there had to be a better way, so I gave DB a hard time about it. The plan, I create a list of DBID's for DB that consists of all active members of the fleet. They will remove any DBID not listed on the list provided. 

Option 4 - "Spock's ===_-=- Thoughts" Wait until DB resolves this issue in a patch update. We are not the only Fleet that has/had this issue. We will just run with 49 people. 

Option 5 - There is no option 5 right now, Just here as a reminder that I am waiting to hear back from DB currently. I let them know whatever they did today...did not work. They may have another route to take based on this information

Here are my thoughts... Option 1 is the best for me right now but would suck if ultimately I invite everyone back and the issue continues. So we are then forced into Option 2, disbanding again. Unless we wait and give Option 3 a go, not sure how force kick all is any different, but you never know. So, Option 3 I am not a fan of. Also, if we do Option 2 I will still need to collect over 85% of fleet DBIDs anyway in order for DB to evenly distribute supplies. So the way it is looking there is a good chance I will need a majority or all player DBIDS. Option 4, the resolve to the issues as a whole is TBD. I feel like this has been going on forever already, and I am ready to get this behind us.

Like to hear your thoughts, Please start leaving your DBID's just in case....

Hello. We have 49/50 fleet members. When we add someone new the count does not go up to 50/50, the new member does NOT show up in the list of fleet members. Yet the new player can see the fleet tab and our fleet information, their profile also shows they are a member of my fleet, but they cannot join a squad. I Need to be able to fill my fleet up with players. Please fix this glitch with the 50th member

Please explain how your response is helpful to me? How am I supposed to figure out which player, out of 49 players has an issue with their account? Why is it that I have to do this? What exactly is the support you offer here? It sounds like you are brushing this off and passing the problem back to me. I am NOT going to start messaging 49 people in an attempt to figure this out for you.

There is a problem with my fleet, you need to fix it.

- I have 49/50 players in my fleet currently. I have stopped attempting to recruit players until you get this resolved.

- When I add someone in an attempt fill up the fleet to 50/50. The player (50th Member) can join but the fleet roster indicates 49/50 still. This 50th player is also invisible and does not show up on the player's list.

- I have attached a photo of my fleet count. The photo was taken moments before sending this email.

Look forward to your prompt response and quick resolve to this issue. I and members of my fleet look forward to playing in a fleet with full numbers again.

Hi Captain,

Thank you for getting back to me and I apologize for my initial misunderstanding. I was under the impression that whoever the 50th person to join your Fleet was had been the player experiencing the issue.

That said, we have had similar reports of issues like this in which a player attempted a DBID merge which resulted in a 'ghost' DBID being present within the Fleet, essentially taking up a slot on its own.

In order to find out whether or not this is the case and correct this, I will need you to do me the favor of compiling a list of the DBIDs currently present in your fleet in order for me to compare them to the DBIDs I am seeing here (screenshots of the DBIDs would also work if that is easier).

Thank you very much for your patience and cooperation in regards to this issue.

Ok, again, why do I have to do this? That’s not a favor, that’s a job that can take hours. Why should I spend multiple hours trying to collecting this info for you? I pay to play this game, I do not get paid to play, or paid to spend large amounts of time figuring out resolutions to issues with this game. There are people in my fleet that don’t even speak English, how do you expect me to communicate with these people using your crap STT in-game chat?!?!

If this is a “known issue” I am surprised the best option you got is to have me gather up 48 DBID’s.

So you need to resolve this using your method yourself or find a different approach. Unless you are prepared to offer me mass compensation for the time I have to spend doing this, I am not wasting my time doing all that.

While I do apologize for the extra work, I'm afraid the only other option is to have the Fleet disbanded and reformed. If you do choose to go this route, I would be happy to assist with providing you and the members of your fleet with items required to get your Starbases back to where they are (plus some extra of course). Please keep in mind that although an issue may be a known issue, this does not mean that we have enough data to be able to implement a fix for these issues at this time.

Well. I am not willing to just kill the fleet and start over at this point. Not willing to wait hours and hours to rebuild Starbase rooms, regardless if the supplies are provided by you or not. Unless your providing crystals also.

I have some new info, see attachment. I think I have helpful info on the problem user. Hopefully, the information here is what you need, or provides a link for you to look up support ticket history. <<<< I PROVIDED THEM A SCREENSHOT OF SPOCKS DBID'S

- If the above info is a dead end, can you not just force kick everyone out of my current fleet? Would that not clear up the issue removing the “ghost player”?

Hi Captain,

Thank you very much for collecting this information! While the removal of all other members from the Fleet was also an option, I did not want to move forward with suggesting this in the event that your account may have been the one creating the issue. With this information, I was able to locate that user's previous DBID within your Fleet and have removed them.

It appears that they were still joined in your Fleet under their previous DBID. Hopefully inviting them with their new DBID will correct the issue. Please restart your game and let me know whether this has corrected the problem.

Option 1 worries me.  When I had my ticket open the rep couldn't even see the ghost Dbid.  I just don't have faith this will fix it and that is a lot of work for no result.

There are fleets on the forums that have had this problem longer than us. Waiting form a fix might not be the best course.

I don't get it with the starbase level...you say that you get all the materials, but there is still a 700 donation limit. The materials are not a problem at all (except for holoemitters)...so we are not talking about "a while" we are talking about starting from scratch! This is unacceptable to me! Fuck the 100 chronitons. Very soon they will introduce new levels or a permanent solution to the daily reward issue and we will be lightyears behind where we are right now.

Also: What they write makes no sense. They have all the data. They know which fleet we are, they know the player names and they can check the DBIDs themselves. At the very least it should be enough to provide them with the names of the players in the fleet and then they can check their DBIDs and easily find out where the ghost DBID is (if any). I don't get the bullshit they are pulling!

I think from an IT problem-solving standpoint, the DB list comparison - Option 3 - makes the most sense.

I did something like this when trying to fix issues with metagroups. You find the thing that doesn't make sense and deal with just that.

The other options are essentially a hard reset. No fun for anyone.

If this is happening with other fleets then providing them with good information may help them find the larger issue. Chances are this issue will get kicked up to Level 2, not the front-facing desk support.

I kind of like the option to rebuild and get 100 chronitons a day - except that with the 700 limit - they’d need to disperse the supplies amongst us all or we will never get back to where we are now

As it is - we only have like 6 more upgrades and we are done with the chroniton bonuses
